I came to like him, but the days passed  without any opportunity to talk to him…

Then one day the teacher held us back in class, so I was late getting to the library. When I got there, the boy was looking at a certain book on the bookshelf.

( he’s looking at “The Fairy and Me”. He seems completely absorbed in reading the book.

Maybe I can get a little closer to him… )

He didn’t notice me at all even when I came up

right behind him.

( Oh, this is a good chance to talk to him.

I’ll ask him about the book. )

So I got up my courage and spoke.

“So… you can see that book ? ”
